A tri-engine Italian medium bomber also affectionately called the "Hunchback" by it's crews.  Easy to fly and very reliable this aircraft was the most widely produced Italian bomber during and before the Second World War.  The Sm 79 saw much action during the Spanish Civil War as Mussolini had sent Italian forces to help the Nationalist cause.  The Sm 79 remained in service in one form or another in Italy well into the 1950's.
